His professional activity is marked by two big passions he never separated from: medicine and politics. He studied Secondary Education at Peleteiro School in Santiago de Compostela.He took a degree in Medicine at the University of Santiago and a diploma in Health.He did a MA in Health Administration and Management. He has been practising as a doctor in Palas de Rei since May 1978. He is also Mayor of this town council.

 Work & Activities

Regarding his experience in politics, he is a great activist of the Partido Popular. He was Mayor of Palas de Rei from 1983 to 1985 and from 1999 up to the moment.
He was a provincial deputy from 1983 to 1988 and from 2003 to 2007, member of the Galician Parliament from 1985 to 1999 and president of the Health Commission and spokesman of the Commission for Public Works for fourteen years.
